31st August 2024

The sun was shining as a special buffet lunch was held for the voluteer drivers and those who help the group to run so successfully.
Chairman, David Aird, thanked everyone for their support on behalf of the service users who are so gratful for the service. Our sincere thanks go to Ann Whitelaw for provided the excellent food and to Age Scotland and Alan Pinkerson, a local businessman who kindly sponsored the lunch.

24th August 2024
The committee want to say "Thank You" to everyone who visited our Tombola stall at the Summer Market. It was a great opportunity to raise awareness about our service and we are very grateful to everyone who so generously donated prizes.

Publicity - March 2024
Chairman David Aird, Sectretary Pauline Watson and the two administrators, Iona Philp and Ellis Meiklejohn, met with a few of our drivers and serveral of the regular service users for coffee. Morag Lindsay and photographer, Steve Brown from The Courier were invited along to speak to everyone about the service provided by KVG&ROS.

Subsequently an article appeared in both the print and on-line issues of the paper on 5th March. Link to the online version.
The service users were particularly pleased to meet Iona and Ellis, who they only knew as a voice at the end of the phone. It was a lovely event and will possibly repeated in a different venue.

National Recognition - October 2023
While we knew we had the support and recognition of the community it came as a very pleasant surprise to be recognised nationally with an award from Age Scotland.
The award for "Services for Older People 2023" was presented to us on 1st October in Orwell Church, where we held an afternoon tea for our Volunteers, some of our service users and representatives from local organisations, who have supported us over our 40 plus years.
Stuart Purdy, Chair of Age Scotland, made the presentation to Norma Denwick, one of the founding members of the the organisation. Ena Bowen then gave a vote of thanks on behalf of the service users.
